Initiatives

We work to promote sustainability on many different fronts. Our aim is to provide everyone with easy to adopt, environmentally friendly practical alternatives.

Awareness

Since our inception, we have set up information booths, workshops, and webinars that have helped communities understand the importance and urgency of addressing environmental issues. Our presentations have focused on Composting, Recycling, and green DIY projects.

Action

Our close engagements with various organizations and associations have helped reduce the waste footprint, especially at large events such as walk/run events attended by thousands of participants. To help families transform their home parties into low-waste celebrations, we have established a free loaning bank of reusable steel utensils.

Activism

We have run a series of successful Go-Green campaigns and drives to encourage sustainability and reduce waste. The 3-minute showers campaign received pledges to save more than two swimming pools’ worth of freshwater. Additionally, the 5-Day 500-Coats Drive collected over 700 coats, providing warmth to the homeless.

The greens & browns, the moisture & the air, the turning & tumbling, the harvesting & sieving, the leachate & rich soil; we covered it all. Green Cell hosted the first-ever “Learn to Compost” session at the Longlake neighborhood in Cumming, GA. On a cool Sunday evening, excited residents & friends attentively listened from the knowledgeable speaker to learn all about composting!

Would you like to have a similar session in your neighborhood? We will be happy to hear from you. Please get in touch.
